Aug 20: Congratulations to Tournament Champion Lehigh County!
Lehigh County defeated the Renegades 14-13 to win the tournament championship.
The championship game, which saw the lead change hands 8 times, was one of the closest games in recent history.
The game, played in a slight drizzle, was called after 6 innings due to darkness.
Aug 12: Best of Luck to All Teams for Tournament Weekend!
The tournament is August 18 and 19 at Percy Ruhe.
Reminder: All teams MUST remove their recyclables from the park EACH day.

Aug 9: Renegades defeat Gemini 17-12 to Win League Championship!
Renegades beat Gemini 17-12 to capture the League Championship.
The Renegades took an early lead in the first inning and never gave it up.
The league congratulates Renegades on their victory,
congratulates Gemini for their exceptional season,
and wishes all teams the best for the tournament.
All Star rosters and Homerun Derby rules are posted on their respective website pages.
The league picnic is 8/11 from 1230-530 at Scherersville Park.

The all-star game begins at 12:30.
Children will get a chance to break open a Pinata immediately after the game.
The homerun derby will start after the Pinata, probably around 2:30 or 3:00.
The homerun derby is open to anyone and hitters should make arrangements for their own pitcher to pitch to them,
or else be subject to the pitching of any random person.
The tournament is August 18 and 19 at Percy Ruhe.
Reminder: All teams MUST remove their recyclables from the park EACH day,
so bring a lot of large trash bags.
Aug 7: Gemini and Renegades to Meet in Championship Game!
Gemini beat SKF (score unknown) and Renegades edged Lehigh County 12-9.
Both teams advance to the League Championship game Thursday 8/9 at 6:30.
All Star Game selections (names and positions) due from SKF and Mangold.
The league picnic is 8/11 from 1230-530 at Scherersville Park.
Check the field maps page for directions.
The all-star game will start at 12:30.
Team assignments will be posted on the website Thursday or Friday.
The homerun derby is open to anyone and will start after the all-star game ends.

Aug 3: Unprecedented 4-way Tie for 3 Playoff Seeds!
Four teams ended up tied for the final three playoff spots
in one of the closest seasons the league has seen in years. Gemini clinched
1st seed and SKF, LCAO, Mangold, and Renegades all tied for the other seeds.
The tiebreaker resulted in the following seeds:
1 - Gemini
2 - LCAO
3 - Renegades
4 - SKF
5 - Mangold
Playoffs Schedules for Tuesday 8/7:
SKF will play Gemini Tuesday on Field 2. Gemini is home team and sets up the field.
Renegades will play LCAO on Field 3. LCAO is home team and sets up the field.
Games start 630. No grace period. Captains meet with umps at 615 for ground rules.
All Star Game selections (names and positions) are due from SKF, Mangold, and Riverside.
The league picnic is 8/11 from 1230-530 at Scherersville Park.

July 27: 4 Teams Fighting for Last 3 Playoff Seeds!
With one week remaining, 4 teams remain in contention for the final
three playoff spots in one of the closest playoff races the league has seen in years.

July 19: Gemini Clinches 1st Seed. Five Teams Still Alive!
Congratulations to Gemini for taking first seed for the playoffs.
The other three playoff positions remain unclaimed, though SKF has the upper hand.
With only 2 weeks left, 5 teams still in the playoff chase, and 5 of their 11 remaining
games to be played among themselves, it should be an exciting run to the playoffs.
Since the tournament date has been changed to Aug 18/19, seeding for the tournament
will be based on the standings as of Aug 3 (instead of July 31) so that all makeups
through Aug 2 will be included.
The League Picnic, including the All Star Game and Homerun Derby, will likely be August 11.
Confirmation and additional details should be available in the coming week.

The tournament date has changed to August 18 and 19.
It will still be at Percy Ruhe.
Rescheduling the League Picnic and All-Star Game has yet to be figured out.

July 6: The Final Stretch ... 5 Weeks To Go!
All Star Game correction: Each team can send 2 men and 1 woman.
A previous announcement mistakenly said 3 men and 1 woman.

The League Picnic is Sat Aug 18, 12:30 to 5:30, at Mangold's field.
Event details, including All Star Game and the Homerun Derby, will be announced soon.

All makeup games through July 6th are now scheduled.
Some important notes:
The Lehigh County - Rodale game on 7/17 was moved to 7/24.
The Lehigh County - Mangold game on 7/24 was moved to 7/17.
The A&H - DSC makeup is scheduled for 8/7, unless it gets played on a Monday or Wednesday before then.
The Mangold - DSC makeup will be played at Rt 100 South with Mangold as home team.
The SKF - Rodale makeup will be played at the Rodale field with SKF as home team.
June 15: Lets talk Picnic!
Enough talk about the weather.
Its time to start thinking about the League Picnic and all-star game.
We need one volunteer from each team by June 30 to be a contact for picnic information.
Send names along with email and daytime phone number from the contact us page.
Erica from Viamedia will be coordinating the League Picnic.
Team selections for the all-star game must be turned in by July 20.
Each team can send 3 players, 2 men and 1 woman, to the all-star game.
June 8: Parity Rules at Mid-Season!
Along with all the rain-free weather we have enjoyed comes parity.
Eight teams are within 3 games of each other, and nine teams are within 3.5 games of each other.
And with SKF playing both Renegades and Gemini in the upcoming week,
the stage will be set for the second half of the season.

May 30: Last Undefeated Team Falls!
Lehigh County handed Gemini its first loss of the season as the first month comes to a close.
The tournament has been confirmed for August 11 and 12 at Percy Ruhe.

May 25: Season 1/3 Complete and No Rainouts Yet!
The first third of the season has been completed and we have had very cooperative weather.
After 4 weeks of play, Gemini remains undefeated, and a majority of teams are separated by 2 games or less.

May 18: Bylaw Number 99.A.3.c Being Enforced!
Last night, two games ended with scores of 4-1 (Renegades/Viamedia) and 4-3 (DSC/Sidelines).
Bylaw number 99.A.3.c will need to be invoked and enforced, which states that teams who score less than 8 total combined runs in a game will be eliminated from the league for the following season.
<end sarcasm>

May 11: Two Weeks Down; One Undefeated Team Remains!
Gemini remains the only undefeated team after two weeks of play.
Umpires have been confirmed for season and tournament playoffs.
Lights for playoffs have been requested but are not yet confirmed.

Stahleys has a new sponsor, Riverside Drummies. The schedule and standings have been updated with the new team name.
April 27: Season Opens Tuesday, May 1st!
Target Select (the company) has changed its name to Viamedia and the team is following suit. The schedule and standings have been updated with the name Viamedia.
April 16: Rain, Rain, Go Away... Season Opens 1st Day of May!
The schedule for the 2007 season is now available. Games begin May 1.
The Captain's Meeting Minutes from February 24th
were distributed to all team captains along with a contact list.
Trinkles has changed their name to Sidelines Sports Bar.
Scabs has changed their name to Gemini Hair Design.
The schedule is a single division, 22-game double round robin.
The top 4 teams advance to playoffs on Aug 7 and 9.
The Velodrome North field is new this year--directions are on the Field Maps page.
The tournament is tentatively scheduled for Aug 11 and 12 at Percy Ruhe.
The tournament will be run in 2 divisions, with divisions determined by alternating teams based on the July 31 standings.
Top 2 teams from each division advance to playoff semi-finals.
The bylaws remained the same except for Bylaw 33, which was changed to clarify game postponements.
Also note that the ASA has enlargened the batter's box to 4' by 7' ft.
The league picnic, all-star game and homerun derby is tentatively scheduled for Saturday August 18. More info to come.
