August 27: Donnas wins League Championship over Mangold!
Lehigh County repeats as Tournament Champion!
The Red Division vs. Blue Division All Star Game was played Thursday, August 26. Division team rosters are published on the Teams page. The Blue Division won in 7 innings, but the Red Division won in the 8th inning.
August 19: Mangold and Donnas exchanged leads several times in the League Championship game, but Donnas held on to win the game! Congratulations to both teams for their successful seasons.
League Tournament is this weekend, Rain or Shine! Detailed info was emailed Thursday morning.
The Red Division vs. Blue Division All Star Game is Thursday, August 26, 6:15 PM, at Percy Ruhe field #2. Division team rosters are published on the Teams page. All-Star Team Players should find their All Star Team Captain during the Tournament to exchange contact information.
Captains for the Blue Division will be Jason from Donnas and Terry from Rodale.
Captains for the Red Division will be Augie from Scabs and Roger from DSC.
August 17: Mangold and Donnas advance to League Championship game. Mangold held off a late game rally by Lehigh County, and Donnas upset SKF by holding a lead right from the first inning. Donnas plays Mangold for the League Championship Thursday night! The Championship game begins at 6:15 Thursday at Percy Ruhe 2. Good Luck to both teams!
August 16: SKF drew first seed for the playoffs by record. Mangold, Lehigh County, and Donnas drew straws by telephone to determine remaining seeding. Seeding is as follows: 1) SKF, 2) Mangold, 3) Lehigh, 4) Donnas. Playoff games begin at 6:15 Tuesday. Check the schedule for field assignments.
Tournament information will be emailed Wednesday.
August 12: SKF has drawn first seed for the playoffs, while Mangold, Lehigh County, and Donnas Carlisle Grill will draw straws to determine their playoff seeding. Playoff and Tournament information will be emailed over the next few days.
August 10: SKF defeated Lehigh County in what turned out to be a down-to-the-wire pennant race. Fortunately the rain held out and it seems we have gotten the season in, just under the wire. Congratulations to SKF and Mangold Excavating on winning their divisions. But congratulations are also due to Lehigh County and Donnas who held first place the majority of the season, and picked up wild card berths. Playoff and Tournament information will be emailed later this week.
August 5: All four playoff teams have been decided, but the division titles are up for grabs. Lehigh County and SKF both control their own destiny.
If SKF wins at least one of their final two games, they will clinch the Blue Division title. If SKF loses both AND Donnas wins their final game, Donnas takes the Blue Division title.
If Lehigh County wins both of their remaining two games, they will clinch the Red Division title. If Lehigh County loses both, Mangold takes the Red Division title. If Lehigh County wins one and loses one, Mangold takes the Red Division title by virtue of best record within division.
July 19: The leagues Red Division vs. Blue Division game will be played Thursday August 26 at Percy Ruhe #2. The game is tentatively scheduled to start at 6:15 to allow more time before darkness falls.
Each team must submit a list with *at least* 3 players, 2 men and 1 woman, for this game. If you submit more than 3 players on your list, you must specify one of them as the guaranteed player and the other two players will be selected by the division captains.
You must submit this list to me by August 1st, which is next weekend!
Captains for the Blue Division will be Jason from Donnas and Terry from Rodale.

There will be 2 unique rules for this game:
1) Every player on both teams must play at least 3 innings.
2) Batting lineups will be limited to 11 players--the 10 in the field and 1 extra hitter.
July 15: Red-Blue game info will be announced Monday July 19. The Blue Division is a tight race, but in the Red Division Lehigh County holds a 2 game lead. 9 teams still have a shot at the playoffs.
July 8: Red-Blue game info will be announced next week. The umpires for the playoffs and tourney visited a game this week to see how they played out. Please remember, pinch runners must be the last same-gender player to make an out--check your bylaws for more info.
June 28: A Red Division captain has volunteered. Info about the Red-Blue game will be ready in a week or so.
June 24: Still looking for Red Division captains for the Red vs. Blue game. Info about the Red-Blue game will be ready in a week or so.
June 9: ASA Umpires have been contracted for our season and tourney playoff games. We will have one umpire for each semi-final game, and two umpires for each championship game.
Still waiting on feedback from captains for Red vs. Blue game regarding the date; choices are Aug 26, 27, 28, 31, and Sept 2. Still looking for volunteers for Red Division co-captains; Blue Division now has co-captains. Each division roster will have 2 men and 1 woman from each team in the division; player selections due August 1.
June 7: Interleague Games! I can now begin to schedule some interleague games. Teams having expressed interest have been sent an email with details.
June 4: RED vs. BLUE GAME! It is time to start thinking about the end-of-season Red Division vs. Blue Division game. We need to pick a date; choices are Aug 26, 27, 28, 31, and Sept 2; the location will be determined later. Each division will field a team of 18 players, 12 men and 6 women. Each team can place up to 2 men and 1 woman on the roster for their division. Teams can choose players however they want, but they must be selected by August 1. Captains are needed for each division team; any volunteers?
June 2: Interleague Games: No word yet from the other league about interleague games. Dont hold your breath waiting for this to happen.
May 26: The new team has named themselves The Scabs and will play their first game May 27 against DSC. All of the missed Bourdeau games have been rescheduled, the online schedule has been updated, and changes were emailed to all captains.
Interleague Games: I am waiting for a reply from the other league commissioner and will keep everyone posted.
May 24: The schedule has been revised to make up some of the missed games for the new team. The new team begins their games June 1 against SKF, but they may decide to begin their games May 27 against DSC at Alton Park.
Interleague Games? Only 3 teams have expressed interest and I am working on games for them. Going once... going twice...
May 17: A new team will take over the Bourdeau schedule on June 1. The online schedule has been changed to say NEW TEAM instead of Bourdeau, until they provide a name. Some slight schedule changes will be announced soon.
Interleague Games?> Interested in playing an interleague game on one of your BYE nights? Let me know which dates you would like to play; you do not have to worry about whether a field is available or not. These game results will not count in the standings.
April 26: Registration fees are due this week--please get your money in on time. Games begin this week--good luck to all teams! Remember to report game results within 24 hours by email or the website--winning teams report scores and home teams report postponements.
Bourdeau Financial has dropped out of the league.
April 21: Bylaws 54, 59 and 60 have been modified by majority vote. Bylaw 54 now prohibits showing bunt and then swinging away. Bylaws 59 and 60 now allow all teams to add late-arriving players to the bottom of the batting lineup without a maximum limit. Items yet to be resolved are hiring playoff umpires and setting up the season-ending Red vs. Blue division game.
April 16: Fine Line is now Donnas Carlisle Grill; schedules have been updated to reflect the name change. It has been determined there will be no interleague play this year.
April 1: All fields have been confirmed; the schedule is now final. The tournament will be August 21 and 22 at Percy Ruhe Memorial Park; the tournament schedule is now available. The playoffs and championship games will be August 17 and 19 at Percy Ruhe.
March 20: Mummas Sunoco has dropped out. Trinkles Cafe is replacing them. A new schedule was posted although only the team name changed--no dates or fields have been changed.
March 13: The 2004 Captains Meeting was held Saturday, March 6, 2004. Meeting minutes have been distributed. 2004 Bylaws and game schedules have been published. We have 12 teams for 2004—4 new teams and 8 returning teams.
March 6: The 2004 season will follow a double round-robin format for the season (22 games) with two division winners and two wildcard teams advancing to seeded, single-elimination playoffs. The 2004 League Tournament will be an unseeded, divisional round-robin event which guarantees each team 5 games; four teams advance to a single-elimination playoff.
